Privacy Policy

Introduction

This privacy policy applies to the Sastro mobile app (io.eranya.sastro) published by Eranya Digital ("we", "us"). Sastro — Learn career English: daily lessons, practice, and progress tracking.

This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. By using Sastro you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Account information

Sastro offers optional accounts so your data can sync across devices. You can sign in with: Email & password, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In. When you create an account we store:

• Account identifiers (email address, display name, user ID)
• Learning progress: completed lessons, scores, streaks, and preferences
• Purchase state for optional in-app purchases (e.g. Focus Mode)

Diagnostics and usage data

• Usage analytics: anonymous events such as screens viewed and features used, to understand how the app is used and improve it.
• Crash reports: device model, OS version, and technical stack traces when the app crashes, so we can fix bugs. Crash reports do not include your personal content.

Advertising data

The free version of Sastro shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. On iOS, we ask for your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any cross-app tracking; if you decline, you still get ads, just less personalized ones. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.

Device Permissions

Sastro requests the following permissions, and only for the reasons stated:

• Notifications & exact alarms: Sends your daily study reminder at the time you choose.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the app's features and sync your data across devices
• To fix bugs and improve stability and performance
• To show ads that keep the free version of the app free
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Sastro uses the following third-party services, which process data under their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google): Account sign-in and storage of the account data described above. Privacy policy
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Anonymous usage statistics (screens viewed, feature usage). Privacy policy
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Crash reports and diagnostics so we can fix bugs. Privacy policy
• Google AdMob: Serving ads in the free version of the app. Privacy policy

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time — see How to delete your Sastro account. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days.

Crash and diagnostic data is retained by Firebase for up to 90 days.

Security

Data transmitted by the app uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Account data is stored with reputable cloud providers with access restricted to what is needed to operate the service.

Children's Privacy

Sastro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at hello@eranya.digital and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
